  • the ADA award for 'Excellence in Education and Research' (1991),
  • the ADA 'Outstanding Dietetic Internship Director for California' (2003),
  • the ADA "Excellence in Education" (2008),
  • the California Dietetic Association "Award for Excellence in Community Nutrition" (2000),
  • and May 2010, was selected as a "Most Valuable Professor" in the College of Health and Human Services, CSULB.
